Purpose and PassionHow to Put the Passion Back Into Your Life
— Kim Fulcher —

When is the last time you woke up genuinely excited to get out of bed? Not because of your to-do list. Because of your life.
Passion is not something that happens to lucky people. It is not a personality trait or a gift some women have and others do not. It is a formula. And when you know the formula, you can build it deliberately.
The three ingredients are your strengths, your values, and your purpose. When all three are active in what you are doing, life becomes what Kim calls a passionate, beautiful existence. Here is how to put them to work.
1. Identify Your Strengths
Your strengths are the things you were born good at. They probably do not feel impressive to you because they come easily, and we tend to undervalue what comes easily. But the things other people consistently acknowledge you for, the things you do without trying that other people struggle with, those are your strengths.
Ask yourself: what do people say about me again and again? What do I do that other people find hard but feels natural to me? What have I been good at for as long as I can remember?
Write three down. They do not have to be grand or impressive. They just have to be true.
When we string these three gems together, we get a passionate, beautiful existence.
2. Uncover Your Values
In coaching, a value is not a moral rule. It is something that pulls your attention, excites you, and animates you. The easiest way to find your values is to pay attention to what you are naturally drawn to.
If you walked into a bookstore with a free hour, what section would you go to? What topics do you find yourself reading about without anyone asking you to? What would you do on a completely free day with no obligations?
Those answers are clues. Values put the color back into your world. Identify three to five things that genuinely light you up, not because you think you should care about them, but because you actually do.
3. Live With Purpose
Purpose is not something you find. It is how you live. It is the intention you bring to every situation before you enter it.
You can find your why in one of two places: something you want to contribute to the world, or something you want to correct. Both are equally powerful. Kim’s purpose is helping women manage their power. What is yours?
Once you know it, use it as a lens. Before any meeting, any conversation, any project, ask: what is my intention here and what do I want to contribute? That question turns ordinary moments into purposeful ones. And purpose, practiced daily, is what passion is built on.
Purpose is not something you find. It is about how you live.
