See Ya Self Doubt: How to Start Believing in You

— Kim Fulcher —

Self-doubt is not just stopping you from the big bold moves. It is stopping you in the small moments all day long. The moment before you speak up. The pause before you ask for what you need.

Doubt gets smaller when belief gets bigger. The way to diminish doubt is not to fight it directly. It is to build belief until doubt does not have as much room.

1. Become Someone You Can Count On

Belief in yourself is built through evidence. And the most compelling evidence is your own follow-through.

Every time you say you are going to do something and you do it, you add to your evidence file. Every time you skip it, you subtract. Over time, the file builds a case one way or the other.

Start small. Pick one commitment this week that is genuinely achievable. Do it. The pattern of following through builds the foundation of believing you are capable of larger ones.

You are one belief away from a totally different life.

2. Handle Your Business

One of the most significant sources of self-doubt is the lingering weight of things you have been avoiding. The unfinished conversation. The financial situation you have not looked at. The problem you have been hoping will resolve itself.

Unhandled business sits in your peripheral vision and creates a low-grade anxiety that erodes confidence.

Handle one thing you have been avoiding. Just one. Watch what happens to your sense of yourself when you do.

3. Talk to Yourself Like Someone You Love

If you were teaching a little girl with pink pigtails to ride a bike, and she kept falling, what would you say to her? You would encourage her. You would tell her she was getting it.

That is not what most women say to themselves when they make a mistake.

Start treating yourself the way you would treat someone you genuinely care about. With kindness, honesty, and the belief that you are capable of growth. That voice, practiced consistently, changes what is possible.

You are so awesome. You have mad strengths and skills. You were born on this planet to do something only you can do.
